UPCN to celebrate International Nurses' Day with webinar on Leadership in Public Health Nursing, NurseLEAD course launch

 

In celebration of International Nurses’ Day ("Nurses: A Voice to Lead - A Vision for Future Healthcare"), the UP College of Nursing, as the WHO Collaborating Center for Leadership in Nursing Development, offers a webinar on the challenges and directions for Leadership in Public Health Nursing.
 
Entitled, “Leadership in Public Health Nursing: challenges and directions”, it will be held on 12 May 2021, Tuesday, from 10AM to 12NN through Zoom and livestreamed on the UPCN Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/UPCollegeofNursing/).
 
The speaker is Dr. Cora A. Añonuevo, a former Board of Nursing member, UPCN professor, and PHN expert. The panel of reactors are composed of representatives from the DOH-HHRDB, the Nurses Initiatives for Change, and the National President of the PNA.
 
UPCN will also launch through this webinar, "NurseLEAD Leadership Course for Advanced Practice in Public Health Nursing." It is a project of UPCN and the Johnson and Johnson Foundation. This course is a certificate course for advanced practice in public health nursing. It aims to strengthen nurse competencies in delivering primary care health services and managing population-based programs, carrying out leadership and management responsibilities, advocating for health policy and regulations, and fostering interprofessional and collaborative practice.
